Rose M. Segalla

Rose M. Segalla, 89, of Rockford, passed away March 30, 2022 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born March 3, 1933 in Alton, IL, the daughter of Angelo & Victoria (Ederati) Grotto. Rose graduated from Rockford West High School, class of 1951. She Married Carl Segalla in Rockford, on March 7, 1953. Together they were the proud parents of two children, Tom and LeeAnn. Those who knew her would describe her as dedicated wife and mother. Rose volunteered at Midway Village for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, LeeAnn (Cokey Mills) Segalla. Predeceased by parents, husband, Carl; and son Thomas Segalla. She is survived by two sisters, an extended family and many friends. The family would like to thank her caregivers and nurses especially Heather Hartman, NP.
Services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, April 4, 2022 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel and visitation, from 10:00 to time of service. Burial will take place in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Poor Clares Corpus Christi Monastery or to a charity of donor’s choice.
