Rose M. Lynch

Rose Margaret Lynch, 91, of Rockford, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, July 22, 2015. She was born on July 15, 1924 in Ridott, IL, to Stephen and Rose (Flynn) Dorsey. Rose graduated from Aquin High School, in Freeport, IL in 1941; and moved to Rockford and worked at Illinois Bell Telephone Company. She married Robert “Bob” Lynch at St. Patrick’s Church in Rockford on July 17, 1944. Rose and Bob raised six children in Rockford, before moving to Barnes, WI in 1973. There, they owned and operated Lynch’s Resort on Bony Lake, in Barnes, WI. After retirement, Rose moved back to Rockford and resided at Christian Life Retirement Center.

She is survived by her sons, Stephen (Catherine) Lynch, of Hayward, WI; Michael (Linda) Lynch, of Mesa, AZ; Raymond Lynch of Rockford; Patrick Lynch of Westby, WI; Robert (Kelly) Lynch of Fargo, ND; and daughter, Cheryl (Gary) Regan of Mendota Heights, MN; and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be 10 AM, Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, IL, 61111, with burial to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM, Monday, July 27, 2015, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL, 61108; with recitation of the Rosary at 7 PM. Visitation will also be Tuesday at 9 AM until time of prayers at 9:45 AM. Memorial donations may be made to St. Bridget Catholic Church in Rose’s honor. Funeral arrangements have been cared for by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel.
