Rose Ann Biszak, 85, of Rockford, passed away January 20, 2018, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born October 13, 1932, in Spring Valley, IL, the daughter of Joseph & Frances (Stark) Gambo. Married George A. Biszak in Granville, IL on December 26, 1950. They lived and raised their family in Sterling, IL and in 1996, they moved to Rockford, IL. An artist at heart, she own and operated her ceramic shop. She enjoyed reading, puzzle books, trips to their cabin in Northern Wisconsin, but most of all spending time with her beloved family.
Survivors include children George (Sande) Biszak III, Col. USMC, Ret, Jo (Brad) Anderson, Michael (Linda) Biszak, Col. USMC, Ret, and Michele (Chuck) Lippert; grandchildren, Amanda (Daniel), Erin (Sean), Bradley (Jessica), Anthony (Amanda), Michael (Heather), Mathew (Elizabeth) and Melissa; great-grandchildren, Haley, Hayden and Abigail.
Funeral mass will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4407 Highcrest Rd, Rockford, IL 61107. Visitation from 10:30 a.m. until time of mass at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Lakeland Discovery Center, P.O. Box 237, 14006 Discovery Lane, Manitowish Waters, Wisconsin 54545.
