Rosalie T. Quam (Markese), 76, passed away in Rockford on November 27, 2019. Born in Rockford, daughter of Joseph and Mary (Marinaro) Markese. She graduated from Muldoon High School in 1961. She married Bruce Quam on December 4, 1965 in Rockford and were married for 34 years until he passed away. Rosalie was a relator from 1978 through 1982 with Century 21 ADEE & Associates. Leaving that job she worked as a financial advisor with IDS/Ameriprise Financial until she retired in 2005. She was a proud member of QUOTA International of Rockford and was also a 3rd Order Carmelite with Holy Innocents Secular Carmelite Community. She loved to read, garden, gamble but most of all she loved her children.
She is survived by daughters, Shawn (Bob) Quam-Schulz and Robin Quam Heinen; Brother Charles (JoAnn) Markese; step-children Curt Quam and Jamie Klein; many nieces, nephews and grandchildren; special mention to Nancy Person. She was predeceased in death by her husband; parents; siblings Maria Sullivan and Joseph Markese; son-in-law Terry Heinen and stepchildren Tammy and Wade Quam.
Visitation on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. with funeral mass immediately to follow at St. Bridget Church, 600 Clifford Avenue in Loves Park. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Winnebago. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family to establish at a later date.
