Ronnie L. Moore, 64, of Winslow, IL, passed away suddenly in his home on October 13, 2017. Born June 29, 1953, in St. Louis, Mo, the son of Nadine and James Henderson. He married Lorraine “Lori” Niedermeier on January 25, 1975, at Calvary Baptist Church Rockford. He worked as a machinist for 20+ years. Ronnie was known for his sense of humor, being very ambitious and a hard worker. He enjoyed music, especially singing and playing his guitar. Through the years he was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing and watching softball, hunting with his buddies, and collecting Indian and wolf memorabilia, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include wife, Lori; children Victoria (Robert) Smith, Niki (Don) Luke and Ronnie (Stephanie) Moore II; grandchildren Caige Massey, Miranda and Emmitt Luke, and Ronnie III, Alexander and Kayleigh Moore; sister Sharon (Robert) Tucker; Aunts Shirley Mobley and Bardy Little; Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; Best friends Billy Oglesby and Milt Cropp.
Predeceased by his parents Nadine and Jim Henderson; granddaughter Amanda L. Moore; nephew Chuck "Puggy" Edge; grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61108, with the Rev. Randy Young officiating. Visitation 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Oakley Union United Cemetery.
