Ronda N. Swick, 74, Belvidere, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family and friends, after a long battle with breast cancer. She was born in Rockford on January 24, 1939; the daughter of Ronald and Hazel Larson. She graduated from East High School in 1957. Ronda married Jack W. Swick in Rockford on October 17, 1964. She worked as an executive secretary at Nelson amp; Storm Tool Supply for over 32 years until her retirement in 2001. Ronda enjoyed playing Bridge, Camping, Snowmobiling, and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.nbsp;She was blessed to have the most wonderful care during her illness from her many caregivers.nbsp;The family would like to give a special thank you to Vickie Webb, Molly Sawallisch, Sharon Walston and Heartland Hospice for allowing us to bring Ronda home, where she was surrounded by the things in life she loved most.
Ronda is survived by her husband, Jack W. Swick; sister, Geraldine (Glen) Swartz; sisterinlaw, Connie Ingraham; nieces, Valerie (Jim) Lewis, Vickie (Roger) Webb and Linda Ferguson of Cambell, California; nephews, Tony (Jenifer) Swartz, Kevin (Stacy) Swartz and Blair (Bill) Nystrom; greatniece, Lilly Swartz; greatnephews, Nicholas Swartz, nbsp;Brandon Swartz, James Lewis III, Chase Ripplinger and Logan Ripplinger (USAF, Germany). And friends too numerous to mention.< Predeceased by parents, grandparents and stepfather, Les Frohmader.
Funeral service at 11:00 a.m on Friday, February 15, 2013 at Grace United Methodist Church, 3555 McFarland Rd. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Private Burial in Highland Garden of Memories in Belvidere. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Heartland Hospice or CaringBridge.org.
