Ronald L. Reda, 73
Rockford- Ronald L. Reda, 73 passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Swedish American Hospital. Born May 17, 1941 in Chicago, IL the son of Lawrence Andreoni & Patrina (Morealli), but was raised by Patrina and Michael Reda. Graduated from Proviso East High School, class of 1960. Served in the US Navy. Married Carolyn Anzaldi on August 10, 1963. He was a Substation Operator for Commonwealth Edison for 30 years, retiring in 1996. Member of Melrose Park Christian Assembly in Melrose Park, IL, then later the Dwelling Place, in Rockford, IL. Ronald enjoyed cooking, reading and listening to books on tape. He volunteered with Leader Dogs and was a member of the Lions Club. Most of all he loved to travel, spending time with his family and his dog Buddy.
Survivors include daughters Michelle (David) Harris; son Ronnie (Greta) Reda; grandchildren Cara (Seth) Bailey, Brooke, Andrew and Grant Harris, Karly and Finnley Reda; great granddaughter Emma Bailey.
Service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, February 15, 2016 at the Dwelling Place, 1559 S Mulford Rd, Rockford, IL 61108. Visitation from 1 pm until time of service at church. A private burial in Mt.
