Ronald C. Schwartz

Ronald C. Schwartz, 85, of Rockford, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021.
Ronald was born on October 5, 1935, son of Roland and Phyllis (Kliver) Schwartz. He married Mary Beth Meyers on May 16, 1959 and remained married for 45 years until Mary passed away on June 8, 2004. Ronald was a Lieutenant on the Rockford Fire Department for many years and enjoyed serving his community until he retired. He enjoyed being outdoors. Ronald loved hunting, fishing, and feeding the squirrels golden Oreo’s. He looked forward to his trips to Iowa to try his luck at the Casinos. Ronald was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Ronald is survived by his son, Michael (Michelle) Schwartz; his daughters, Beth (Jeff) Clausen and Carrie (Doug) Juhlin; his grandchildren, Lucas Clausen, Allie Clausen, Austin Juhlin, and Drake Juhlin; special friends, Irving Wolf and Stanton Seeberg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ronald is predeceased by his parents; wife Mary; and his special pets, Lily and Sosa.
