Roger E. Fenelon

Roger E. Fenelon, 83, of Rockford, passed away January 30, 2019 in his home. Born November 22, 1935 in Rockford, the son of Melvin E. & Marie E. (Olinger) Fenelon. He married Jacquelyn Rae Zwiger in Rockford on September 14, 1957.
A graduate of St. Thomas High School, Roger retired from Amerock Corp. in 2002, after thirty six years of employment. He was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie; children Kimberly (Ed) Justus, Jody (Sonny) Bryant and Thomas E. Fenelon; grandchildren, Andrew “Drew” and Colton “Cole” (fiancé, Erin Morgan) Justus, Eric (Katie) and Kaitlyn Bryant and Jessica (Thomas) Cass; great-grandchildren, Ella, Austin and Addie Bryant, Sophie and Baby (due in July) Cass; sister, Mollie Vollmer; life-long friends, Irv and Joanne Stewart; numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Kaye Fenelon and Pat (Don) Heisler; brother-in-law, Jim Vollmer
Memorial Mass, 10 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at St. Bernadette Church, 2400 Bell Avenue, Rockford. Visitation 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Bernadette Church or The Carpenter's Place, 1149 Railroad Avenue, Rockford, IL 61104.
