Robert M. Tucker, Sr.

Robert M. Bob Tucker Sr., 75, of Rockford passed away on January 15, 2008 in SwedishAmerican Hospital. Born December 30, 1933 in Stoneham, Mass., the son of James and Margaret (McClain) Tucker. Bob married Renate Flagel in 1959. Bob was a very loving husband, father and Opa (grandfather). He served in the Army and was a Disabled Veteran. They settled in Rockford and Bob retired from Allstate Insurance Co. after 35 years of service. He loved cars, boating, flying and traveling. Bob was a member of the Corvette Club in the 1970s, the Dubuque Yacht Club, the Belvidere VFW post No.1461 and American Legion post No.0077. Bob was a man of action and few words. Most of all, his favorite thing in life was spending time with his wife Renate. Survived by his wife Renate, daughter Diana and grandchildren Robert M. Jr. (Emily) and Stephani. Niece Petra (Michael) Boxhorn of Germany and great-nephew Sasha (Sybillie) Raudies of Germany. He was predeceased by his parents. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of SwedishAmerican Hospital Emergency Room. Funeral service will be private.
