ROBERT M. ANGILERI, 77, lifelong Rockford resident, died at 9:15P.M., Wednesday, May 2, 2007 in Provena Cor Mariae Center after a long battle with cancer. Born September 9, 1929, son of Jerry and Grace (Constantino) Angileri. Married Florence Virginia Williams on May 2, 1964. Bob attended Freeman School,St. Anthony Parochial School, class of 1945 and St. Thomas High School, class of 1949. Robert had been employed by the Nelson Hotel, the Faust Hotel, was self-employed as a barber and retired from Sundstrand Corporation in 1989 after over 22 years of employment. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He was a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lombardi Club and Verdi Club. Bob was a good natured, positive, loving person and never complained about his illness. He appreciated a good joke, had a great sense of humor and everybody loved him. He loved to draw and had a particular flair for some very unique cartoon characters. For the past 35 years he and his brothers and sisters and their spouses got together regularly for a family "?potluck. It was their way of staying close after their parents were gone-the most recent one was held this past April 15 th and concluded in his hospital room with him eating the Italian sausage sandwich that he requested. Bob was a life long Cubs and Bears fan. The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the 7 th floor nurses and staff at Swedish American Hospital for their loving care and concern during Bobs long illness. Survivors include his wife, Florence; son Rob (Susanne) Angileri and granddaughter Ramona Amy Angileri, Madison, WI; son-in-law, Keith Nelson and grandchildren, Maddisen, Spencer and Gavin Nelson, Rockford; sisters, Connie Aarhus, Rockford and Nora Angileri, St. Marys, KS; brothers, Jerry (Mary) Angileri, Rockford, James Angileri, Beloit, WI, and Michael (Mary) Angileri, Roscoe; many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, Tony and Ruth Mule. Preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Nelson; parents, Jerry and Grace; brother David; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Florence (Tracy) Williams.
