Robert L. Lewis

Robert L. "Bob" Lewis 65 of Rockford passed away Sunday February 17, 2013 in his home. He was born April 21, 1947 in Effingham, IL. The son of Marvin and Kathryn Lewis. He married Barbara Boyd on April 25, 1987 in Rockford. Bob worked many years for the Rockford Park District and over 20 years for the Winnebago County States Attorney. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War serving in the 26 th Artillery Unit and proud member of the Loves Park VFW Post No.9759.Survivors include his wife Barbara. Three daughters, Anne (Scott) Shaw of Seattle, Kathryn of Rockford and Elisabeth of Rockford. Brother, Marvin (Sharen)Lewis of Rockford and Jack (Sharon) Lewis of Effingham. Predeceased by his parents. The family wishes to thank all his friends at Loves Park VFW and the Winnebago County States Attorneys office. Bob loved serving America whether it was over seas or here at home. Memorial service at 11am Saturday February 23, 2013 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home 1860 South Mulford Road. Rev.
