Robert J. Justice

Robert John "Bob" Justice, 59, Rockford, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 21, 2014, in his home. He was born August 10, 1954; the son of Harry and Carmel (DeStefano) Justice. Bob earned his undergraduate degree and his Master's degree at North Texas State University. Bob worked as a physicist for A. K. Steel Co. in Cincinnati, OH, and was most recently employed at Schnuck's in Brynwood Center. He attended Holy Family Catholic Church and volunteered at Carpenter's Place. Bob's favorite childhood memories were summers in Crisfield, Maryland catching turtles, fishing, the Crab Festival and especially being with his family.
Survived by his sister, Christine (Mark) Cooper of Rockford; brother, Joseph (Darlene) Justice of Huntington, MD; sister, Rebecca (Paul) Garcia of Mission Viejo, CA; 9 nieces and nephews, special great-niece, Andrea Valley and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Predeceased by his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd. Rockford, with Reverend David J. Reece officiating. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00am until 9:45am on Tuesday at the church. Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
