Robert Huisel, Sr.

Robert Huisel 73, of Rockford passed away peacefully on 4/23/2017. Born in Chicago he worked in the Chicago-land area as a machinist and mechanic for over 50 years. He leaves wife Phyllis Marie, sons Timothy, Matthew and Robert, daughters Sherri and Tina, sisters MaryLou, Silvia and brother Clarence. Robert also leaves behind 19 grand kids and 15 great grand kids who lovingly called him Papaw.

The family that he has built is like no other, like him they are caring, wild, loving, bold and just a little bit dirty. He will be remembered always with love and warmth in every bear hug they give or receive and in every time they smell his favorite old spice cologne.

His hair done perfectly so and slicked back from VO5 or his latest project. His soul was just as beautiful as his smile and his heart the most beautiful of all. Always a social butterfly he now has freedom to watch over us and go where his heart pulls him.

Forever remembered and missed with all our love.


This fund will assist his family in financing his passing, celebration of his life, as well as taking care of those he left behind.
