Robert H. "Bud" Weller, Jr.

Robert H. “Bud” Weller, Jr, 85, of Roscoe, passed away November 16, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at Mercy Health Hospital. Born March 9, 1932 in Rockford, the son of Robert H. & Clara (O’Neil) Weller, Sr. Graduated from West High School, class of 1951. During his life Bud worked for Aquamatic, Inc. for over twenty years, Culver's and Edwards Apple Orchard West for many years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. His passions were photography, woodworking, especially making toy cars for the Toy Ministry at Aldersgate UMC, collecting penguins and horses. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan and very “tech savvy”, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bud will be truly missed.
Survivors include sons; Richard (Judy), Pete (Jan) and Bob (Lonnie Roser) Weller; daughter in law Patti Weller; ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one on the way. Numerous nieces and nephews and special nephew Dwight Weller.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 20, 2017 at Aldersgate UMC, 4055 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL 61103, with Rev. SunJa Lee Moon and grandson Rev. Russell Weller officiating.
