Robert E. Geen, 87, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Provena St. Anne Center. Born November 12, 1922 in Chicago, IL; son of Frank and Helen (Wilferling) Geen. Married June M. ODay on March 25, 1944 in Chicago, she predeceased him in January 17, 2008. Robert served with the United States Coast Guard in WWII. He was the owner of All Saints Monument Company in Des Plaines, Illinois and later was the Vice President of sales and marketing at Mohawk Spring Company for 33 years, retiring in 1995. Robert was the past President of Des Plaines Park District and past President of Chicago Spring Manufacturers Association. He was a member of Itasca Country Club and later Sunrise Country Club in Sarasota, FL. Robert was an avid golfer, card player and loved to go fishing and boating. Recently his most enjoyable times were at Jordan Lake in Wisconsin.
Survivors include his sons, Tom (Colette) Geen of Rockford, Bill (Pam) Geen of Wisconsin Dells, WI and David (Jane) Geen of Highland, MI; grandchildren, Julie Marie (Darnell) Geen Holloway, Joey Geen, Jessica Geen-Perone (Sammy) and Tommy Geen; great-grandchildren, Jasmine and D.J. Holloway and LilyAnn Perone and Anita Perone.; and sister-in-law, Romayne Geen. Predeceased by his wife June of 67 years; brother, Bud Geen and sister, Wilva Snyder.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:30am on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
