Robert D. ""Bob"" Lund, 77, of Rockford, died Friday, November 21, 2008, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born June 6, 1931, in Stoughton, Wisconsin, the son of Brede and Hazel (Gilbertson) Lund. 1948 graduate of East High School. Served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Johanna Van Boxel on August 29, 1953, in Rockford. He worked for Sunstrand and was a pioneer in Branch Banking Advocacy. Bob served on the campaign staffs of Donald Rumsfeld and Charles H. Percy. He was the founder, president and CEO of Robco Sales, Inc. until his retirement. Active member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Forest Hills Country Club, and Heartland Growth Group. Former member of Rotary International and former founding member of Alpine Kiwanis. Bob enjoyed fishing, gardening, and helping others with every task. He enjoyed 27 years of his second home on High Lake in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin. Suvivors include his wife, Johanna; children, Trent (Teresa) Lund and Stephanie (Todd) Chaffin; brothers, LaVerne (Lois) Lund and Loren (Joanne) Lund; grandchildren, Matthew Chaffin, Heather Walsh, and Joe and Jay Pettigrew; many nieces, nephews and cousins; special cousin, Elaine Schrank. Predeceased by his parents and infant son, Jon Robert Lund. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2008, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 3300 Rural St., Rockford, IL 61107, with Rev. Lee Laaveg and Rev. Reid Matthias officiating. Private family burial in Arlington Memorial Park. Visitation from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., and from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at the church on Wednesday. To
