Robert C. "Bob" Stearns

Robert C. “Bob” Stearns, 91, Roscoe, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015, at Serenity Hospice Care in Oregon. He was born September 6, 1923, in Galesburg, the son of Walter and Helen (Canfield) Stearns. Bob was a veteran serving during WWII in the Army Air Corps. He was the recipient of 5 Bronze Stars and 3 Oak Leaf Clusters. Bob married Geraldine “Gerry” Stearns and they have been married for over 38 years.
Survived by his wife, Gerry; his children, Susie Hanner of Eugene, OR, Kathy (Bradley) Helms of Junction City, OR, Kari (John) Pidgeon of Tigard, OR, Donna (Yaakov Levine) Stearns of Creswell, OR, Greg (Lisa) Riedl of Pleasant Hill, CA, and Glen (Michele) Riedl of Downers Grove; 6 grandchildren, Monica, Belinda, Ann, Mason, Peter, and Julian; and many nieces and nephews.
