Robert Bob Kaufman

Robert "Bob" Kaufman Robert "Bob" Kaufman, 64, of Rockford, went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2009 in his home surrounded by his family. Bob was born January 28, 1945 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the son of Albert W. and Minnie J. (Breeden) Kaufman. Bob married Pamela A. Carlson on March 13, 1964 in Peoria. Bob moved to Rockford in 1973, coming here from Dallas, Texas, and worked as a machinist for Micro Screw Machine for 15 years until his disability in 1991. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church and loved bowling, playing the guitar and singing, woodworking and was an avid movie fan. Bob is survived his children, Jewel Lee (Allen Boatwright) Claeyssen and Nolan Robert Kaufman; grandchildren, Robert Lynn Kaufman, Douglas Ryan kaufman, Pamela Nicole Kaufman, August James Claeyssen and Jerry Allen Boatwright. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Pamela (Oct.29, 2003), his son, Robert Kaufman, Jr., his sister, Gladys Lee Kennedy and two brothers, Albert W. Kaufman, Jr. and August Henry Kaufman. Graveside services for Robert will be held at New Milford Cemetery on March 7, 2009. Family and friends will meet at 1:15 p.m. for a 1:30 p.m. committal service with Rev. Robertson officiating.
