Robert "Bob" John Rosandich

Robert “Bob” John Rosandich, 82, Rockford, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at SwedishAmerican Hospital. He was born in Granton, WI on April 29, 1941, the son of Joseph and Manda (Matanich) Rosandich. Bob was a veteran serving in the Navy. He married Mary Gehring in Catawba, WI on July 8, 1961. Bob was a machinist in the fastener industry for 46 years in the Rockford area finishing his career after working at Specialty Screw Company for 18 years retiring in 2005. He was a past member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Bob enjoyed gardening, golfing, bowling, archery and woodworking, but most of all, Bob loved spending time with his family.

Survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary; his daughter, Bridget Rosandich and his son, Brian Rosandich; his siblings, Eli (Janet) Rosandich, Marjorie (Brian) Winkel, Louis (Jean), Joseph (Sherre) and Ronald Rosandich; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son, Robert in 2014, his parents, and his infant brother, John and his sister, Katherine.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Av. Rockford, IL 61103 with Reverend Dean Parker officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens where a luncheon will follow immediately after the graveside service. Memorials may be made to Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary, 111 N. 1st St. Rockford, IL 61107.
