Robert "Bob" C. Falgiatano

Robert “Bob” C. Falgiatano, 88, Rockford, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Fairhaven Retirement Home with his loving family by his side. He was born August 24, 1936, in Rockford, the son of James and Iolanda (Coletta) Falgiatano. He was a graduate of Rockford West High School. Bob married Patricia “Pat” Kimpel in Rockford on June 1, 1957. She passed away in Rockford on September 8, 2015. He worked as a master plumber for Nelson Carlson Plumbing for many years. He and Pat attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church for many years and most recently attended Holy Family Catholic Church. Bob was an avid Bears fan and enjoyed fishing and working in his garden. He and Pat loved to travel, especially taking cruises. Most of all Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Many memories were made with their special “Salamone connections”. Special thanks to the staff at Fairhaven Retirement Home for their kind and compassionate care and to Northern Illinois Hospice for the care they gave Bob during his last days.

Survived by his daughters, Debbie (Sam) Cascio of Rockford and Dr. Cindy (Dr. Lonn) Brander of Cherry Valley; his grandchildren, Ethan (significant other, Nicole Johnson) Brander and Mikayla (significant other, Brent Carl Brunner) Brander; his niece and his 2 nephews and his several cousins. Predeceased by his loving wife, Pat, and his parents. 

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 28, 2024, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 1010 Ferguson St. with Reverend Carl Beekman officiating. Burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. on Monday at the church. Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
