Rita M. Mcbride

Rita Mae McBride went to her heavenly father on April 28, 2022. She was born on February 2, 1925. Rita came to Rockford in the middle 1950’s. Rita married George McBride on June 17, 1950. She worked for J. I. Case Company and later was co-owner of Elmer’s Tap and Mary’s Place. Rita was predeceased by her husband, George in 2013. She is survived by her son, Michael.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 6, 2022 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in West Brooklyn, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Northern Illinois Hospice. Share online condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
