Richard "Rick" Mark Keller

Richard “Rick” Keller, 67, of Rockford, was called home to his heavenly father on Sunday, December 10, 2017. He was born on July 1, 1950 in Austin, MN, the son of Lynn and Eileen (Beck) Keller. Rick served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was stationed at Lemoore Naval Base in Lemoore, CA as well as in the Philippines. He married Rebecca “Becky” Brown on August 14, 1971 and made a home in Rockford. He retired from Springfield Electric in 2012. He loved the outdoors and was passionate about deer hunting and fishing and he was a board member at the Plug and Pellet Sportsman Club. He was happiest when in the woods. He also took great joy in being with his family and friends and they will miss him terribly.

Rick will be missed by his wife, Becky; son Mark (Angela) Keller; daughter Tricia Deleon; grandchildren Emma, Penelope & Lily Deleon and Jason & Zoe Keller; siblings Janice Kooy, Paulette (Dave) Johnson, Roger (Kathy) Keller, June (Jeff) Green, Lori Bendickson and sibling in laws Charles (Margaret) Brown and Anita Jaeger as well as countless nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford.
