Beloved Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, Uncle, Friend

Rick’s untimely death after a brief, but hard-fought battle against cancer leaves behind two loving sons and daughter-in-law, Dion (Amy) and Jerimiah; five beautiful granddaughters, London, Carmen, Morgan, Grayson, and Shelby; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Rick lived life to the fullest and made memories with his family and friends that will carry on. He was an auto racing and car enthusiast and an avid football and baseball fan. Most Sunday’s in the Fall you could find him in a stadium or in front of a television cheering on his Dallas Cowboys or Chicago Bears and Spring and Summer brought him catching nine innings of White Sox baseball. After his retirement from Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Kingman, AZ, Rick enjoyed traveling as much as he could and found peace when he had his toes in the sand on a beach somewhere. Rick truly loved and cherished every moment and experience he could share with his granddaughter’s and his impact on their lives will be everlasting and sorely missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Lenora (Tapio) Smith; sisters Sandra K. Stinson and Lucille Gunn-Smith; daughter Stella Maria Smith; and grandson Fernando.
