Richard L. Krienke, 68, Machesney Park, died Friday January 29, 2021 at Javon Bea Hospital. He was born June 4, 1952 in Rockford, IL, son of Melvin and Francis (Johnson) Krienke. Richard was a 1970 graduate of Rockford Lutheran High School. He married Denise DalPra and together they had two boys. Richard was a member and banquet manager at the Venetian Club, the assistant scout master of Boy Scout Troop 21, a coach for the Rockford Pony Baseball, and was the PTO president at a local Rockford Public School where he helped organize charities and special events. He enjoyed making people laugh by telling them his quirky jokes. Richard especially enjoyed being with his family. He had a very special bond with his grandson, Nicholas. Nicholas will cherish the memories of him and Papa going for ice cream or a special treat after a long day at school. Richard loved spending time with his family and they are going to miss him very much.
Richard is survived by his wife of 42 years, Denise; his sons, Matt (Mariah) Krienke, and Nick Krienke; his grandson and best friend, Nicholas Krienke; his brothers, Melvin “Larry” (Maxine) Krienke, Dave Krienke, and Randy Krienke; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; his sister, Judy Krienke; and sister-in-law, Vickie Krienke.

Cremation rights will be accorded. A memorial service to honor Richard will be planned for a future date. Memorials may be made to the family.
