Richard H. Lotter

Richard “Rick” H. Lotter, 61, of Winnebago, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018 at his home.

Rick was born in Oakland, CA, son of Richard and Carol (Dahl) Lotter. He was married to Janet (Hasenyager) Lotter. Rick enjoyed life to the fullest, being involved in activities such as gardening, running, volley ball, tinkering and fixing things. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Rick will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his mother, Carol McCarthy; loving wife, Janet Lotter; children, Rob (Lisa) Dehner, Jennifer (Lou) Frechette, Sarah (Richie) Ferolo, Tracy (Jeremy) Stevens; 4 siblings, Karl (Theresa) Lotter, Kristen (Don) Moore, Donald Lotter and Michael Lotter; grandchildren, Alex, Isabelle, Jackson, Benjamin, Madelyn, Lillian, Penelope, Jace, Lacey and Kaitlin; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father, Richard Lotter and step-father, Bill McCarthy.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, IL 61108. Memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial to established at a later date.
