Richard C. Usedom

Richard C. Usedom, 80, Rockford, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2011, at Alpine Fireside Nursing Home. He was born August 1, 1931, in Chicago, the son of Edward and Dora Usedom. Richard married Eunice Murphy in Woburn, MA on October 16, 1955. He served in the US Coast Guard from 1951 to 1954. Richard was employed at Britt Office Systems. He was a wonderful Father and Grandfather, who could fix anything. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Eunice; children, Richard Keith Usedom of Rockford, James Edward (Leah) Usedom of Asheville, NC, Karin Ann (Thomas) Kellogg of Rockford, and Barbara Jean (Philip) Amberg of Sycamore; grandchildren Juliett Joy JJ, Abby, Mary, Jenna, Reid, Blair, Thomas T , Chris, Carolyn Rosie, Cali and Jimmy; brothers, Edward and John (Dyanne) Usedom; sisters, Bonnie Selck and Sally Buehne. Predeceased by his parents. Funeral services will be at 3PM Sunday, August 21, 2011, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd with Deacon John Amberg officiating.
