Richard C. Coulthard, 77, of Shorewood, IL, died on February 6, 2021 at Wesley Willows in Rockford, IL. He was born on March 12, 1943, in Evanston, IL the son of Guy and Helena (Clark) Coulthard. He graduated from Bellaire High School with the class of 1961 in Bellaire, TX. He went on to study and graduate from the University Of Texas Engineering School in Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering. Dick earned a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. He started his career with the Department of the Navy working on the nuclear power station at McMurdo Sound, Antarctica. Dick worked for Westinghouse Electric Corporation Nuclear Services Division for 24 years. In 1993 he became the owner of the Red Carpet Travel Agency in Morris, IL. Dick was a member of the Morris Kiwanis Club and served as Club President from 1997-1998. He is survived by his cousins, Charles (Kathy) Gruber and JoAnn (Doug Hagen) Gruber-Hagen. Preceded in death by parents and sister, Nancy Coulthard. Per Dick's wishes, Inurnment will take place in St Peters Episcopal Church and School Columbarium in Kerrville, TX.
