Richard C. Arnold, 70, passed away on December 25th, 2020. Born on February 9th, 1950 in Chicago Illinois. He was son to Eugene and Alice (Wolf) Arnold. A 1969 graduate of Schurz High School, Richard went on to spend some time working for the Chicago Police Department, marrying his wife Anita Vince on April 22nd 1982, in Dallas Texas then retiring as a union carpenter.
Richard loved spending time outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting, cooking, or tending to his garden. The love of his family was his life’s greatest joy – always saying family comes first no matter what! He was a role model to many, constantly teaching his family traditions and reminiscing on life, while proudly passing along the fourth-generation family owned “Arnold’s Construction” business to his son.
Richard will be missed by those who loved him the most, his wife of 38 years, Anita; his children Richard (Cindy) Arnold Jr., Alice (Michael) Martinez, Lorrie (Tommy) Winkler, Dave (Lora) Baker and Mandy (Jeremy) Bone; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and grand puppies; his brother Eugene (Rosemarie) Arnold Jr. and so many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that he loved so much. He was predeceased by his parents.
The family would like remind everyone to stop waiting. Live your life to the fullest – Vacation when you can, go to a Cubs game, learn a new hobby and ALWAYS remember to say, “I love you.”
