Richard B. Sesterhenn

Richard B. Sesterhenn, 73, passed away peacefully in Oregon, Illinois on August 4, 2023. Born in Detroit, Michigan on October 21, 1949 to Robert W. and Bernadette (Hultgren) Sesterhenn. Rich graduated from Guilford High School in 1967 and went on to attend Northern Illinois University, obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in finance. After graduation, he enjoyed being the owner of Four Seasons Bowling Center in Freeport, Illinois and Fairview Lanes in Rockford, Illinois. Rich was very passionate about his music and played in a number of popular Northern Illinois bands throughout his younger years.

Rich is survived by those who loved him dearly, his wife, Sandi; his children, Ryan (Kira) Sesterhenn and Shannon (Cynthia Snapp) Sesterhenn; grandchildren, Shalimar, Lorian, Rogan and Berkeley; his sister Patricia (Paul) Bonavia; niece and nephew, Christopher (Ashley Glacel) Bonavia and Laura (Steve) Claughton; great nieces and nephews, Eric, Ian, Anna and Eva. He is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Bernadette.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 10th, 2023 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 1860 S.
