It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving father, Ricardo Viveros Diaz, 88, on June 29th, 2020. He passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by family, at his home in Richmond, Texas.
Ricardo was born on April 7th, 1932 in Chiconcuac, Mexico to Ricardo Viveros & Petra Diaz Olea and later raised in San Martín, Texmelucan, Puebla by his dear tío Roberto Martinez & tía Dolores Viveros. He married the love of his life, Josefina Gallardo Hernandez, on December 19, 1952 and together they raised a beautiful and loving family in San Martín. In 1965, at the age of 33, Ricardo moved from Mexico to Rockford, IL to provide new opportunities for his family in the United States. He deeply loved his family, his friends, and his church.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Josefina Gallardo Viveros; his parents, Ricardo Viveros & Petra Diaz Olea; his tío Roberto Martinez & tía Dolores Viveros; sons, Senón Viveros and Jorge Viveros; grandchildren, Guadalupe Garcia Viveros and Susana Ramirez Viveros - it gives our family great comfort knowing they are all now together, reunited by our Heavenly Father.
Left to cherish and honor his memory, Ricardo is survived by his seven children: Maria Dolores Viveros de Ramirez, Roberto Viveros, Maria Guadalupe Viveros, Ana Castaneda, John Viveros, Martín Viveros, & Maria Viveros Peraza; 38 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews - all whom he loved dearly.
Our deepest gratitude goes to Ricardo’s caretaker, Miriam Ordonez, for her loving care over the past year and a half, and to the staff of Vantage Hospice for their support during this difficult time.
