Ricardo "Rica" Garcia

Ricardo “Rica” Garcia, 39, of Rockford, IL., was reunited with our heavenly Father on Monday, January 15, 2024. He was born November 19, 1984, to Ricardo Torres Garcia and Lilia Rosales Garcia. He was a devoted father, loving husband, trustworthy son, and kindhearted brother.

He was a kind and selfless man. He enjoyed outdoor activities with his children and enjoyed coaching his kids on their baseball and football teams. He loved endless cookouts with friends and family, and, always down for a good time. He had a contagious smile that lit up the room and had the ability to make light of a bad situation. He will be dearly missed.

Those left to honor Ricardo’s memory include his wife, Maria; his children, Angel, Osvaldo (Bonbom), Yulihan (Bebez), Keilanny (Milany), and Fabrizio; sisters, Isabel and Daisy; brother, Carlos and many nieces and nephews. Including aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Isabel Ramirez Acosta, Andres Garcia Campos and Socorro Garcia Torres; and cousin, Alberto “Beto” Rosales.

A visitation will be on Monday, January 29, 2024, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, IL 61108. Funeral Mass will take place the following day, Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 402 Church Street Belvidere, IL 61008.
