Reynold Peacock

Reynold (Bud) Peacock, 92, Murray, KY, former Rockford resident, died at 8:29 a.m. Saturday, October 4, 2008 in Murray Calloway County Hospital, Murray, KY.  Born November 22, 1915 in Richland Center, WI, son of George E. and Alma Emmerson Peacock.  Married Colleen Dawn Condon on July 6, 1943.  He served as a Tech Sgt. in the Pacific Theater with the Army Air Corps  during WWII.  Retired as Office Manager from J.I. Case Co. after many years of employment.  Member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Rockford and St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Draffenville, KY. and was also a member of the Murray Masonic Lodge 105 AF & AM.    Survivors include his daughters, Mary (Tim) Leonard and Diane (John) Young, both of Murray, KY; grandchildren, John Paton Young, III, Louisville, KY, Patrick Thomas Young and David Mark Leonard, both of Murray, KY; sisters-in-law, Ramona Peacock and Mary Peacock both of Rockford; brother-in-law, Thomas C. Condon.  Also survived by 5 nephews, 4 nieces, 7 great nephews, 7 great nieces, 3 great-great nephews and 1 great-great niece all of Rockford.  Also predeceased by his wife; parents; brothers, Wesley and William Peacock; sister, Ro Jean Mercer and niece, Debbie Peacock.  Funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday;, October 11, 2008 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with his son-in-law, Tim Leonard officiating.  Burial in Kishwaukee Cemetery.  Visitation from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service on Saturday.  Masonic Rites were held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 in J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Murray, KY.  Condolences may be extended to the family at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
