Rev. Donald J. McClintock, 85, of Loves Park, passed away on Friday, January, 17, 2014. He was born on June 12, 1928 in Bellevue, OH, the son of Clyde and Hazel (Hann) McClintock. He was a proud US veteran serving his country in the Air Force during the WWII era from 1946-1949. Donald married Charlotte Hart in Rockford on June 11, 1983. He earned his PhD in Theology and taught English and Social Studies for Rockford Public Schools at Buckbee and Morris Kennedy Middle School. Donald was a servant of God who was passionate about teaching the bible; he spent more than 50 years serving his lord and his community. He founded Rockford Bible Assembly, which is now known as Living Word Ministries, and spent 26 years as its pastor prior to his retirement. He was instrumental in starting 8 different churches and also traveled to the Philippines on a missionary trip. Donald was a talented musician; he enjoyed playing the organ, trumpet, trombone and piano.
Donald is survived by his wife, Charlotte; children, Rev. Donald J. (Brenda) McClintock of Springfield, MO, Clyde V. (Mary) McClintock of Rockford, Kevin W. (Heide) of Rockford, Rhonda J. (Luther) Christiansen of Rebulic, MO, Evelyn M. (Russ) Daniels of Forreston, IL, Rev. John E. (Savannah) McClintock of Loves Park, Aaron L. (Elisa) Williams of Rockford and Anthony Williams of Loves Park; 16 grandchildren; 9 step-grandchidren and 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; 2 brothers and a sister.
