Renita Jean Orsinger, 67, Rockford, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018, in her home. She was born July 3, 1951, in Chicago, the daughter of Paul and Lois (Comerford) Orsinger. Renita worked as a Registered Nurse for many years and missed helping her patients when she reluctantly retired. She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. She enjoyed taking road trips with her family, especially her trip to California with her sister, Jill. She was always shopping on the QVC network or working in her beautiful garden. She was a passionate Cubs fan and was either attending the game, where she always sat in the bleachers, or following it on TV while listening to the radio broadcast. But most of all, Renita loved spending time with her family.
Survived by her daughter, Tracey (Douglas) Bruner of Loves Park and her son, Paul (Teresa) Ives of Rockton; her grandchildren, Zachary and Abigail Bruner and Urban, Bede, and Linus Ives; her brothers and sisters, James (Etoyle) Orsinger, Gary (Michele) Orsinger of Petaluma, CA, Dennis (Eve) Orsinger of Cary, Jill (John) Mazzola of West Chicago, and Joyce (Bruce) Nogales of Wake Forest, NC; several nieces and a nephew; many special friends and neighbors. Predeceased by her parents and her uncle, John Comerford.
