Renee Suzanne Bonk, born long enough ago that she considered herself to have lived a full life, though like many she thirsted for a little more. You knew her as Dolly, GAR, or just Renee. She never insisted on dominating the conversation and seldom raised her voice. Her manners were too good to talk over you yet somehow we lived in the home she preferred with her color choices on the wall. (And I liked it.)
Yes, she had some regrets. She valued family and worried about strife and division within it no matter the cause. During her lifetime she lovingly knitted numerous throws, Christmas stockings and baby blankets for others yet only kept two items for herself; a sweater which challenged her skill level to the point she was pleased by her accomplishment and a baby blanket she made in anticipation of her own child's birth which she unfortunately miscarried. She had the underlying skills to have made a great mother.
She delighted in Thanksgiving Dinners where her cooking skills and love of Family, combined with a little wine, made for memorable moments. She valued work, the ethic of it, and was sad when her failing health necessitated her leaving her job at Circles of Learning Daycare and her coworkers she considered close friends. Her dogs are, shall we say, "legendary", and her delight. A blooming flower, visiting butterfly, or hummingbird and prize tomatoes for her homemade soup all brought smiles to her face. She loved to play card games with her friends, watch a good "girl" movie, and was very good at guessing "who done it" before you.
She had faith in God. Please say a prayer for her as she did for you.
