Reimundo Gomez, 57 of Cherry Valley, IL passed away December 4, 2020 in his home surrounded by his family. Born October 27, 1963, the son of Jesus & Consuelo (Melendez Moreno) Gomez. Married Hermida Rosales in Zacatecas, Mexico on December 24, 1981. He was a welder for Logisnext Mitsubishi, formally Nissan Forklift in Marengo, IL for 22 years. Member of St. James Catholic Church, Belvidere.
He is survived by his loving wife, Hermida Gomez Rosales; son Jesus Gomez; daughters Jessica, Judith, Lizet Gomez; Grandchildren, Damien, Yarel, David, Arely, Joslin, Cristian, Cristobal, Alexia, Elina, Aylani, Jimena and Natalia. Predeceased by mother, Consuelo Melendez Moreno and brother, Alfredo Gomez Melendez.
Due to Covid19, a walk-thru visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61108. Se casó con Hermida Rosales en Zacatecas, México, el 24 de diciembre de 1981. Fue soldador de Logisnext Mitsubishi, formalmente Nissan Forklift en Marengo, IL durante 22 años. Miembro de la Iglesia Católica St. James, Belvidere.
Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Hermida Gómez Rosales; hijo Jesús Gómez; hijas Jessica, Judith, Lizet Gomez; Nietos, Damien, Yarel, David, Arely, Joslin, Cristian, Cristobal, Alexia, Elina, Aylani, Jimena y Natalia. Pre fallecido por su madre, Consuelo Meléndez Moreno y su hermano, Alfredo Gómez Meléndez.
Debido a Covid19, se llevará a cabo una visita guiada de 11:00 a.m. a 1:00 p.m. el sábado 12 de diciembre de 2020 en Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Cremination, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61108.
