Tauscher, 71, Rockford, died at 6:58 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2007 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center.nbsp; Born September 8, 1935 in Milladore, WI, son of George and Dora Haasl Tauscher.nbsp; Rockford resident since 1972.nbsp; Graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering, having received a degree in mechanical engineering.nbsp; He owned and worked the family dairy farm in central Wisconsin until 1967.nbsp; Holding a journeymans card, he worked at Chrysler Corp.for 10 years and retired in 1990 after many years in sales in the textile industry. Proud veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.nbsp; He served on two war ships having made three battle cruises around the world.nbsp; Member of St. Rita Catholic Church and former member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.nbsp; Raymond was an active father and grandfather who always participated in his childrens and grandchildrens lives.nbsp; He supported all 6 of his children through Boylan Central Catholic High School and was very active in Rockford Pony Baseball at Roy Gayle Park. His children are all grateful to him for giving them their roots and giving them their wings. nbsp; Survivors include his children, George (Terri) Tauscher, Caledonia, Donna (Tim) Jones, San Franacisco, CA, Diane (John) Strawn, Clive, IA, Sue (Jim) Wilder, Barrington, IL, Gary (Sheila) Tauscher, Loves Park, IL and Joan (Chris) Tretter, Lakewood, CO; grandchildren, Aurelia, Hannah, Isabella, Foster, Juliet, Jack, Grant, Luke, Roger, Val, Olivia and 3 yet to be born;nbsp; siblings, Anna (Fred) Rudy, Norbert (Dorothy) Tauscher, Rita (Robert) Pongratz, Gladys Kobishop, Laurene (Jerry) Braunsky, Mary Tauscher, Agnes (Fritz) Link, Father Donald Tauscher, Doris Tauscher, Dennis (Dianne) Tauscher and Leon (Beth) Tauscher; 34 nieces and nephews and many cousins.nbsp; Predeceased by his parents, brother-in-law, Harlan Kobishop and nephews, Donald Braunsky, David Tauscher and Alan and Jeff Kobishop. nbsp; A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2007 in St. Rita Catholic Church with Raymonds brother, Father Donald Tauscher officiating.nbsp; In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rockford Pony Baseball, Inc. in memory of Ray Tauscher, c/o Amcore Bank, 501 7th St. Rockford, IL. 61104.nbsp; Arrangements were completed by Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
