Randy Atkinson

Randy W. Atkinson, 46, Rockford, passed away Friday, July 12, 2013, in his home surrounded by his family. He was born November 23, 1966, in Rockford, the son of Dennis and Janice Atkinson, Sr. He served in the Army Reserves. Randy married Kim Messbarger in 1990 at the Church by the Side of the Road in Rockton. He was a carpet installer for 31 years and later worked as a seal coater. Randy enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, was an avid Buffalo Bills football fan, St Louis Cardinals baseball fan, and a NASCAR fan.
Survived by his wife, Kim; his son, Scott, who is serving in the Army; his father, Dennis Atkinson, Sr; his brother, Dennis, Jr.; his sisters, Michelle, Debbie, Cindy, Tammy, Maryann, Chris, and Melissa; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother, Jerry.
