Randall Lee Brand

Randall Lee Brand, known to family and friends as Randy, was born on February 6, 1960, in Harvey, Illinois. The son of Eileen (Vandenberg) Brand passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024, in Rockford, Illinois. 

Randy was an extreme sports enthusiast who took immense joy in watching his daughters and grandsons play sports whether it be in-person or virtually; he was their number one fan. As a true Chicagoan, Randy had a love for Chicago pizza, Italian beef and his beloved Chicago sports teams - the Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks. He was also a fan of Rock and Roll music, enjoyed long scenic drives, watching old cowboy movies and talking sports with his son-in-laws. He had a good sense of humor and loved making witty jokes and using sarcasm when the mood would strike him.

Randy is survived by his daughters, Stephanie (Ryan) Burnett, Regina (Tim) Hedrick, and Valerie (Dan) Hupfauer; grandsons, Nathan and Lucas Burnett, Zachary and Jason Hedrick, and Logan and Henry Hupfauer; former spouse of 30 years, Kim Brand; brothers, Mark Brand and Scott (Jill) Brand; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his lifelong friends, The Germain Family. He is predeceased by his mother, Eileen Brand. 

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Please consider cheering on the Cubs, Bears, or Blackhawks for a game, in his memory.
