RAFAELA G. DE LA ROSA, 74 ROCKFORD - Rafaela G. de la Rosa, 74, of Rockford passed away Monday, April 13, 2015, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born June 14, 1940, in Rio Bravo, Coahuila Mexico, the daughter of Juan and Paula (Cordova) Gelacio. Married her only love, Andres C. de la Rosa on November 28, 1959, in Allende, Coahuila. He predeceased her on January 19, 1979. After her husband's passing, she dedicated her life to raising her children, making sure they all went to good schools. Rafaela worked and retired from UDL Laboratories, Inc. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and most of all spending time with her loving family. She is survived by children, Laura (Juan) Galvan, Andres G. (Diana) de la Rosa, Maria (Abel) Galindo, Juanita (Ernesto) Garza, and Rafael (Tieranie) de la Rosa; grandchildren, Andres (Elizabeth), Crystal (Daniel), Rogelio "Kelo", Erika (Manuel), Andres, Gabriel, Abel Angel (Lizette), Sofia, Vanessa, Manuel, Jorge, Joey, Micaela, Rafael, and Dante; great-grandchildren Gisella, Andres, Adrian, Khloe, Daniel, Lenea, Adan, Abel, and Angel; siblings Efrain, Marta, Sergio, Felipe, Eleazar, and Reyes. She is predeceased by parents; husband; daughter, Lorena; sister, Adelina; and great- grandchild, Andrea. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2015, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with the Rev. Alejandro Del Toro officiating. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S.
