Phyllis R. Linn

Phyllis R. Linn, 88, of Rockford passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Amberwood Care Center. Born March 6, 1928, in Mount Sterling, Iowa, the daughter of David W. and Allena (Madden) Bennett. She married Clarence A. Linn in Nashua, Iowa on April 16, 1949. She worked as an LPN. Phyllis was a member of United Methodist Church. She liked flowers and gardening, as well as reading.
Survived by her children, Allena (Paul) Bundschuh of Belvidere, Bettina (Steve) Le Blanc of Belvidere and Clarence A. (Jill) Linn Jr. of Loves Park; grandchildren, Grace, Taya, Daniel, Garrett, Clarence III, Monroe and Nate; great-grandchildren, Heath and sister, Rachael Creek. Predeceased by her parents, husband, Clarence on December 13, 2008, grandson, Caleb Bundschuh, brother, Lloyd Bennett, sisters, Madeline Laughlin, Lilly Kimmel, Ellen Lancaster, Ruth Alexander and Esther Sedore.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 5850 Riverside Boulevard, Loves Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army in Phyllis’ name.
