Phyllis May Hoss

Phyllis May Hoss, 96, of Rockford died Monday, May 1, 2017 at Presence Cor Mariae. She was born on June 19, 1920 in Rockford the daughter of Harry A. and Hazel (Turnure) Lambka. Married her loving husband John Edward Hoss on September 26, 1942 and together they had two children. Phyllis worked for Illinois Bell Telephone as an information operator and later decided to stay home and care for her family and household. A member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, the North Suburban Women's Club in Loves Park and the Senior Group at St. Bernadette Church. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint, golfing and reading. She is survived by her son, Michael Edward (Kathleen) Hoss of Rockford; grandchildren, John William Krull, Christopher Michael (Jill) Hoss and Jason Dailey (Katie) Hoss; great grandchildren, Lily and Beckett Hoss; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Pamela Ann Krull, brother, Erwin J. Lambke and granddaughter, Anastasia Elizabeth Krull.

Per Phyllis's request all services are private. Inurnment will be held in Willwood Burial Park.
