Phyllis M. Lamposso-Stratton

Phyllis M. Lamposso-Stratton, of Rockford, was welcomed home on Monday, February 15, 2016. She was born in Summerville, Massachusetts, to parents Sylvio and Maria (Greico) Lamposso. Phyllis married her best friend and loving husband, Tony Stratton, in Massachusetts, on November 11, 1988; before moving to Rockford in 1993. Phyllis was accomplished in many aspects of her life. You always knew where you stood with Phyllis; and she never left anything unsaid. She loved playing games with her family, spontaneous trips with her husband, or just being "there" for people. She was a woman who was strong in her faith, who spoke of her "Grace" often. "It's all Grace, I've received it." Phyllis lived her life on her terms, confident; as God intended. She will always be remembered for her kind, generous, and confident nature.

She is survived by her husband, Tony Stratton; children, Toni Stratton (fiancé, Ian McLaughlin), A.J. Stratton, and Vinnie (Kim) Cicala. Phyllis is predeceased by her parents and her brother, Vinnie Lamposso.

A celebration of Phyllis' life will be held at 6:00 PM, Friday, February 19, 2016; at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL, 61103. Visitation will be from 4:30 PM until time of service on Friday.
