Phyllis J. Bradt

Phyllis J Bradt, 92, Rockton, passed away May 14, 2017 at Highview in the Woodlands. Born April 23, 1925, in Rockford, the daughter of Robert and Lillian (Petznick) Merrill. Graduated from West High School. She married Leland W. Bradt in Rockford, on May 24, 1947. She moved from the city to the farm house where she raised her loving family. Phyllis enjoyed traveling with her husband and children, especially the trips to Colorado. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Survivors include children Marta (Gerald) Lynch, Susan (Donald) Miller, and David Bradt; grandchildren Jacob (Rachel), Aaron (Ali) Bradt, Justin (Kendra) Bradt, Angela (Matt) Coy, Zachary (Kristen), Neil (Rachel) Miller, Jacalyn, Garret (Val) Bradt; great-grandchildren Jethro, Cailie, Loxley, Emerson and Paytra; numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by parents, husband, son Keith, sisters Janet Brett and Barbara Bruesch.
Memorial service will be 6 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017 at by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 3910 North Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL 61103, with the Rev. Randy Young officiating. The family will receive guest from 4 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Rockford Rescue Mission.
