Philippe D. Forcioli, 51, of Rockford died Wednesday, October 7, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was born November 13, 1963 in Marseille, France to Robert and Lucy (Olive) Forcioli. At an early age, Philippe began his career as a chef on the Orient Express. After relocating to the Rockford area, he was the executive chef at Cliffbreakers and the owner and founder of Café Patou, both located in Rockford. In 2012, Philippe opened GreenFire Restaurant Bar & Bakery. Most importantly, he was a loving father and devoted friend, who will be missed by many.
He is survived by his two children, Laurent Forcioli and Sophie Forcioli; his sisters Francoise Lamby and Marie-Christine Bizot; the entire Lucchese family; and many dear friends in the Rockford community. Predeceased by his parents.
A Celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at GreenFire Restaurant Bar & Bakery from 4:00PM – 9:00PM, 6795 East Riverside Blvd, Rockford. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 16, 2015 at 10:00AM at Heartland Community Church, 1280 S. Alpine Rd. Inurnment private. Arrangements held at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel.
