Philip Quandt

Philip Leveque Quandt, 79, passed away (after a long struggle with Parkinsons Disease and bone cancer) on November 6, 2012.nbsp;

Philip was born in Rockford, Illinois to (Professor) Claire L. Quandt and (Doctor) Eberhardt H. Quandt.nbsp; He graduated from Saint Johns Military Academy in Delafield, WI

Philip married Clementine Burger Hendra on February 7, 1970 at the Church by the Side of the Road in Rockton, Illinois.nbsp; Philip attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison, and was an inventor, farmer, French teacher, and accomplished oboist.nbsp; Philip played the oboe at Starlight Theater productions at Rock Valley College, as well as being the central figure in the Baroque Ensemble.nbsp; Philips family were no strangers to all things French, as he sought out French music, collectibles, and especially French speakers.

Philip is survived by his loving wife, Clementine, children Michael (Bryna) Quandt, Claire (Tom) Westrick, and Katie (Michael)Farello, and grandchildren Jonathan and Matthew, Heidi, and Michael and Madison, and his sister, Maurine (David) Brill.nbsp; Clementine andher Family nbsp;would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to our friends and the people from Visiting Nurses Association for their kindness and caring.nbsp; In lieu of flowers memorials to VNA Hospice or to the National Parkinsons Foundation.
