Philip J. Noble

Philip Joseph Noble, 76, of Machesney Park, IL passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Home Bridge Nursing Home. Born November 18, 1935, in Chicago, IL; the son of the late Alex and Rose (Farone) Noble. Philip was the manager of Nobles Grocery in Rockford, IL until his retirement in 2000. He enjoyed going to casinos and playing pool. Philip loved traveling; he was outgoing and a people person.Survivors include his children, James Noble, Chrystal Noble, John Noble, Alex Noble, Brandi Noble, many grandchildren and one sister, Connie Harms. He was predeceased by his three brothers, Steve, Alex and Jimmy Noble.A Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at St. James Catholic Church, 428 N. 2nd Street, Rockford, IL, 61107, with a one hour visitation prior to mass.Visitation will be 57 pm Monday, December 19, 2011 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford, Rockford, IL 61108. A Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
