Philip Anthony Festal, 84 Rockford Philip A. Festal, 84, of Rockford passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2010 in Provena St. Anne Center. Born March 16, 1926 in Rockford to Michael and Ida (Caroti) Festal. He served in the US Army during WWII. Philip worked for the United States Post Office and was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Survivors include his sister, Lorraine Collins of Lady Lake, FL; nephew, Mark (Brenda) Collins of Ocala, FL; niece, Colleen (Mike) Wilson of Mount Pleasant, SC; great nephews, Andrew Collins of Dunnellon, FL and Alexander Collins of Knoxville TN; great nieces, Traci (Mike) Cosio of Woodbridge, VA and Lindsay Arbisi of Rockford; many cousins; special friends, Ernie and Kris Huey and Mary Lou Voorhies. Predeceased by his parents; sister, Madeline Lake; infant sister, Annetta; baby brothers, Charles and Anthony and brothers-in-law, Gary Collins and Gordon Lake. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson St. with Franciscan Friars officiating. Entombment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00am until 9:45am, Thursday at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Judes Children Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148 or St. Anthony Memorial Garden at the church. Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108 assisted the family.
