Rockford- Pete Campos, 69 died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011 in his home. Born June 29, 1941 in Keller, TX the son of Joaquin and Lorenza Campos. A United States Veteran serving in the Army from 1966 -1968. nbsp;Worked over 37 years at Estwing where he made many special long time friends. Pete enjoyed animals and loved fishing, catching several trophy fish in his life. He was a kind and faithful man who was loved by many and he will be missed dearly. The family would like to thank Northern Illinois Hospice and OSF St. Anthony Hospital 400 West for all of their kind and caring ways. Survivors include his siblings, Andrew, Anita (Robert) Chavez; Robert (Meri), Jesse (Ann) and Joseph (Phyllis sister-in-law, Delores Campos; numerous nieces and nephews ;his feline companions, Sophie and Kitty Kitty and all of his friends and family at Estwing. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Emilio; great nephew, Adam Ramirez and great niece, Ashley Campos.

Funeral Mass Monday, Jan.nbsp; 24, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Ave. Visitation Sunday, Jan. 23 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with a rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues on Monday in the Parish Hall of St. Bernadette from 10:30 until time of prayer at 11:15 a.m. Interment will be held in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
